World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online game, World of Warcraft enables thousands of players to come together online and battle against the world and each other. Players from across the globe can leave the real world behind and undertake grand quests and heroic exploits in a land of fantastic adventure.

World of Warcraft (commonly known as WoW) is a massively multiplayer online game where thousands of players battle each other and the virtual world. Over 10 million subscribers world wide play World of Warcraft (as of January 2008).

Players play on different realms, Normal, PVP (Player versus Player), RP (Roleplaying), RP-PvP (Roleplaying Player versus Player) and from time to time the Public test realm used to try out new content that may or may not make it in to the next update.

World of Warcraft is split in to 2 factions, Alliance and Horde. These in turn have there own races Draenei, Dwarfs, Gnomes, Humans and Night Elves for the Alliance and Blood Elves, Orcs, Tauren, Undead and Trolls for the Horde.

Players have the choice to play a Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock or Warrior.

Each player can select 2 primary professions and all 3 secondary professions. Primary professions subdivided into gathering that consists of herbalism, mining, and skinning and crafting professions that include alchemy, blacksmithing, enchanting, engineering, jewelcrafting, leatherworking, tailoring. Secondary professions are cooking, first aid and fishing.

The game undergoes constant changes, with major and minor updates (also knows as patch’s) being released on a regular basis. Major expansions such as The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King introduce lots of new content, areas and quests, these are purchased separately but do not any more in monthly fees to play.
