Skinning
Skinning is basically a way to get leather and hides off animals you have killed in the world. Skinning is basically a must have profession for Leatherworking, if you don’t have it then you find it very, very hard to level this profession.
Before The Burning Crusade it was important to have a skinner in the raid who was 300 in skinning and the +10 skinning knife along with +5 skinning enchant for gloves as then you could skin Pristine Hide of the Beast and Onyxia Scale, if you want to skin these now all you need is 315 in skinning.
Skinning is pretty easy to level because you can skin your own kills as well as other people’s kills and areas like Nagrand where people have to kill hundreds of animals makes it easy picking just to run around the main areas people do this, just watch them see if they are killing looting and walking away, if so they are all yours to skin.
