Fishing
Fishing, the glorious art of sticking a pole in the water and pulling out a fishy, my guide is pretty unbiased straight forward advice however here is the problem with fishing, people say it’s boring and a waste of time.. sadly these people are fools, and no I am not just saying this because I have won the Fishing Contest 6 times (hey Sunday afternoon a few beers and a relaxing competition is all you need, not that’s relaxing it’s fast and furious casting craziness).
Why you should fish, well buff food, money, daily quests for fisher people and if no one in your raid had fishing you would not be able to fight The Lurker Below because you need someone to fish him out, so fishing rocks, rocks so much that you can’t get access to some nice T5 content goodies without it.
Ok it’s still boring to level it, but hey once you do you have the sweet life of free and easy buff food, and the amount of money you can make is just magic.
I am not really sure why they made fishing easier for Horde but they did so live with it, well actually re-roll a Horde alt like I did and you can do the Horde only quest to get a +25 fishing rod, otherwise you have to settle for the +20 or win the fishing contest and get the +35 (did I tell you I won it 6 times LOL).
Anyway it’s an under estimated profession, but worth skilling it up.
I am pleased to say that I got the Realm First for Fishing 450 on Nordrassil (EU) on opening night of Wrath of the Lich King.
