Mining Guide – 1 to 375

Mining Leveling Guide – 1 to 375 to level Mining fast is all about finding the right veins, and best way to do that is to be in the right area for the most chance. This list simply tells you at what level you can mine a vein and where your best chance of finding it is (note that if your levelling your player at the same time as mining then the best place to mine is in the area you are questing at that time). You can mine a vein all the way until it turns green before you should think about moving on to the next type. Silver, Gold and Dark Iron can be pretty much be ignored for levelling in that you should mine them only as you see them, however they do provided a great source of income as they are often in great demand but then so are most types of veins you can mine.

You need to visit the mining trainers at skill level 75, 125, 225 and 300 to learn the next level of mining to allow you to mine higher level veins and smelt them into bars.

Smelt Fel Iron (300)

Smelt Felsteel (300)

Smelt Adamantite (325)

Smelt Etenium (350)

You can also learn Smelt Elementium in Blackwing Lair (you need a raid even at level 70), however very few items need it and very few players learn the skill these days, you also have to be player level 60+ and go with a priest who can mind control the NPC to make him teach a player (with mining profession).

Congratulations! On getting to level 375 in Mining. Shortly after the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is released I will update this guide to take you from 1 to 450 in Mining.
