Engineering Guide – 1 to 375
Engineering Leveling Guide – 1 to 375 ok before I get started the idea of this guide like the others on this site is to get from 1 to 375 as quickly and as cheaply as possible, however cheap is relative to the player and some may find certain professions like Engineering to be a huge money drain. Everyone has different chance of making the next skill-up on an item, I made many green level skill items and got several skill-up points but I have also made loads where I have none for a very long time. I try to minimise that in this guide, however you may notice if you have done this a few time now that you don’t always need to make as many as you did the last time or some items you had to make a few more then normal. If at any point you see an item that you want to make for yourself, go ahead and make it, if you get an extra skill-up point great, if not, don’t worry about it. You might for example save some of your last skill-up points for some of the many epic items or engineering exclusive flying mounts, by all means please use your skill-up points on items you want to keep and then go back to the guide.
If you see (!) read what I have writen, information on why you should make loads of these or how you can sell extra items for loads of gold is highlighted.

Coarse Blasting Powder (1x Coarse Stone)
95 – 105
Silver Contact (1x Silver Bar)
105 – 125
Bronze Tube (2x Bronze Bar, 1x Weak Flux)
(!) This item is cheap to make and sells well on most servers (Alliance Side), so feel free to keep making them until the item turns grey and no longer gives you any skill-up points. The Rouge Quest, The Touch of Zanzil and Duskwood Quest, Look To The Stars both need 1x Bronze Tube to complete and are in very limited supply and high demand off the few NPC vendors who sell this limited stock item, so you can make a killing in the AH marking these up.
125 – 145
Heavy Blasting Powder (1x Heavy Stone)
145 – 150
Big Bronze Bomb (2x Heavy Blasting Powder, 3x Bronze Bar, 1x Silver Contact)
Engineering 150 to 225 Guide
150 – 175
Blue Firework, Green Firework or Red Firework (1x Heavy Blasting Powder, 1x Heavy Leather)
(!) Schematic: Blue Firework is Alliance Only and Schematic: Red Firework is Horde Only, you can easily sell the schematic via the Goblin Auction House or if you enlist the help of a friend or have 2 accounts you could even transport over to the Horde or Alliance Side and sell on the main Action House normally for even higher profits.
(!!) Schematic: Green Firework is sold by two Goblins, and can sell well in both the Alliance and Horde Action Houses.
175 – 176
Gyromatic Micro-Adjustor (4x Steel Bar)
176 – 195
Solid Blasting Powder (2x Solid Stone)
195 – 205
Mithril Tube (3x Mithril Bar)
205 – 210
Unstable Trigger (1x Mithril Bar, 1x Mageweave Cloth, 1x Solid Blasting Powder)
210 – 225
Hi-Impact Mithril Slugs (1x Mithril Bar, 1x Solid Blasting Powder)
Engineering 225 to 300 Guide
225 – 238
Mithril Casing (3x Mithril Bar)
(!) This item sells well on most servers, so feel free to keep making them until the item turns grey and no longer gives you any skill-up points as you should easy be able to sell any extras that you don’t use on the items below. Un’Goro Crater Quest (for both Alliance and Horde), Chasing A-Me 01 needs this item so people can complete the quest, you can make a killing in the AH marking these up as not only will the person get 1g 60s for completing this quest but they will also get 5700 Experience and many players will spend a lot of gold if it can quickly get them the experience they are after to level quickly.
238 – 245
Hi-Explosive Bomb (2x Mithril Casing, 1x Unstable Trigger, 2x Solid Blasting Powder)
245 – 250
Mithril Gyro-Shot (2x Mithril Bar, 2x Solid Blasting Powder)
250 – 260
Dense Blasting Powder (2x Dense Stone)
260 – 290
Thorium Widget (3x Thorium Bar, 1x Runecloth)
290 – 300
Thorium Shells (2x Thorium Bar, 1x Dense Blasting Powder)
Engineering 300 to 375 Guide
Ok, so to start your run towards 375 (the most expensive stage), we might as well get skill-up points making all the mats we will use for other items as we go up the skill levels, start with Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, then move on to Fel Iron Casing and then make the Elemental Blasting Powder you need. Remeber to stop making them when they are grey, you can always make the extra you need down the line.
300 – 320
270x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts (270x Fel Iron Bar)
55x Fel Iron Casing (165x Fel Iron Bar)
36x Elemental Blasting Powder (9x Mote of Fire, 18x Mote of Earth)
320 – 330
Fel Iron Bomb (1x Fel Iron Casing, 2x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, 1x Elemental Blasting Powder)
330 – 335
Fel Iron Musket (1x Heavy Stock, 3x Fel Iron Casing, 6x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts)
335 – 350
White Smoke Flare (1x Elemental Blasting Powder, 1x Netherweave Cloth)
350 – 360
Khorium Power Core (3x Khorium Bar, 1x Primal Fire)
(!) Make 20 of these as you will need them for the next item. These sell for a lot of gold as they are linked to a quest a lot of level 70 players want to do in Shadowmoon Valley Quest (for both Alliance and Horde), The Soul Cannon of Reth’hedron also 8 are needed for the Turbo-Charged Flying Machine so if you have any spear by the time your level 375 you can sell them and get some profits back in.
360 – 375
Field Repair Bot 110G (8x Adamantite Bar, 8x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, 1x Khorium Power Core)
(!) To make this item you will need Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G it’s a ‘binds when picked up’ schematic that only drops off Gan’arg Analyzer’s in Blade’s Edge Mountains, the drop rate is pretty good and should not take you very long to farm this item.
Congratulations! You now have level 375 Engineering. Shortly after the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is released I will update this guide to take you from 1 to 450 in Engineering.
