Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing is the age old art of hitting metal hard until you make something sweet. Apart from making weapons and armour, Blacksmiths can create sharpening and weight stones that you can add to weapons to get a temporary buff to increase the weapons damage. If you’re an enchanter you will want to have a Black Smith as a friend otherwise you will be buying your Rod’s from the AH at an over inflated price.
Blacksmithing is by far one of the hardest profession to level to 375, I them all and while Leatherworking was a pain, it didn’t compare to the pain that was Blacksmithing, I would highly recommend you become a miner if your going to do this profession as it really helps take the edge of levelling it, otherwise it will cost you thousands of gold to do it without.
One cool thing about blacksmiths is that they can make keys that open stuff, while it can be more cost efficient to get a Rouge to open things, some times you just don’t have one to hand and an Blacksmith in the party can provided a key that will open boxes or doors, pretty handy and very under used in my opinion.
